Toddler Fun!

HORSES!

This week at camp, we have had the privilege of hosting 100 autistic children. What a blessing it is to see them enjoy things that normal children take for granted...swimming, playing basketball, arts and crafts, and just hanging out with friends! They brought horses out to camp on Tuesday and again today. Owen rode all of them on Tuesday and had a blast! He has been talking about it all week, and I've been telling him that the horses would be back on Friday. Well, this morning, he looked out the front door and there they were!! He was soooo excited!

Summer Fun

This little guy wandered up to our flower bed. Owen wasn't too sure what to think of him. This morning we had a HUGE snapping turtle in the back yard! We were all three out there at 7:30 looking at "dat tuttle!"

This was taken last week before VBS. Owen wanted to have breakfast with Buttercup. He insisted Buttercup sit in his seat and wear a bib, too! It was too cute!

Puppies!!

I took Owen to our friend's house this afternoon to see her two horses...and feed them. He was so excited, but when we got there, she also had a litter of puppies! So we fed the horses, and then he just wanted to play with the puppies. I was a nervous wreck! I thought he was going to smush them to death! He picked them up by their necks, one by her arm (and she was just a'dangling), and he picked one up upside down - with her tail sticking up in Owen's face and her poor little head just hanging above the ground! HE LOVED THEM! He got down in the grass and laid beside them (and on top of them), let them lick his face and fingers, rubbed them hairless, and just couldn't get enough! It was so cute! He cried when we left and said "Bye-bye pucky doggies." So sweet.
