Owen's House/Water Slide
Sorry it's been a little while since I've posted anything. I know this may come as a shock, but our internet has not been cooperating.
We are gearing up for summer camp around here, which means long days (and nights) for Ben. This was our last free weekend before the madness begins. So Ben spent most of Saturday painting our soon-to-be playroom upstairs so that it will be ready for carpet in the next couple of weeks. After that, we can move all of Owen's toys and enormous train table upstairs and then start getting the nursery set up.
We got a new deep freeze here at camp for the camp kitchen, so we let Owen have the box! He had a fun time with Nathan (next door neighbor) cutting out windows and a door, and then painting it! I even completed it with curtains. He has had a fun time playing in it!

Painting the inside...
Peeking out from the "roof" to paint
On to the water slide. Here are some videos of Ben and Owen on the big slide at the Lazy River, where we vacationed. Owen loved it! As we were packing up and leaving on the last day, Owen gave Ben his best pout and asked to go down the slide one last time before we left. So Ben, being the great daddy that he is, got UNdressed, put on his swimsuit, and took Owen down the slide five times! Then they both toweled off, threw on some dry clothes, and we headed home.
And here he is on our new 17-foot inflatable water slide that we got for the summer at camp. He had a BLAST!

Last Vacation Pics
So here we are on our last day of vacation! In the first picture, Owen went up to Ben with his water gun and said, "Pow, Old Man!" I have no idea where he learned that!
Taking a snack break...
Owen after lunch, eating pudding!
Eating at a restaurant called The Crab Trap
Enjoying (or should I say "wearing") one last vacation dessert!

Beach (again)
Here are some new pictures we took today on vacation. (See first set of vacation pics below.) We went to the outlet mall today, and Owen was such a trooper. Some smart person put in a really nice playground, splash pad, and carousel right in the center of the outlet mall, so we just all took turns watching Owen play while the others shopped. Owen's Pop gave him a 10-dollar bill, so he got to ride the carousel 4 times! And for those of you who know how much he loves horses, you can imagine how excited he was!
There's a small putting green at our condo, so we found Owen some clubs at the Dollar General so he could play. He had so much fun! We stayed for at least an hour!
Notice their legs (above) ...
Can you guess what Ben's doing?
Orange Beach 2010
We are in Gulf Shores right now, enjoying vacation with Ben's family! We usually vacation in August, but with the baby due in September, we decided to do it early. We have seen no signs (or smells) of the oil spill, thankfully. The weather is beautiful, but the water is still just a bit chilly. Owen, however, doesn't mind! We couldn't get him out of the pool yesterday! Here are the only pics I've taken so far. Will post more later.
See how excited he is, running to the pool as fast as he could go!
The three of us, floating down the Lazy River that goes around the condo. Owen held on to my foot so we wouldn't get separated!
More later...
