Every summer at Timber Creek, we have the privilege of hosting an organization called TEAMM, which stands for "Together Enhancing Autism Awareness in Mississippi." Over the course of eight days, about 300 autistic children pass through our camp and have the opportunity to enjoy things that may be difficult to do with other "normal" children. They get to just be themselves and have fun! TEAMM brings in a group of horses and their owners two times during the week so that the kids can enjoy horseback riding and wagon rides. This is one of those perks we, the Derricks, get for living out here...b/c as you all know, OWEN LOVES HORSES!!!
Here he is yesterday, standing on our front porch, watching the horses walk by. They were literally right in front of our house all morning. Poor Cooper was going nuts!!

These girls were kind enough to walk beside Owen on this last ride. I had already been around the loop twice and was so hot and sweaty...with a big belly. He really wanted to go again, so they said they'd walk beside him.

On to the pancakes... Last night I was at a loss for supper ideas, so we decided to make blueberry pancakes, Owen's favorite! He loves to sit at the island these days and help me cook.
He stuck his finger in the bowl to taste and didn't like it too much!!
