Well, it's been a while. Sorry. Things have been kind of busy here. We're just now settling back into normal life after the holidays. Ben has been so busy with all the student retreats, and we've had so many people in and out of our home.
So what's new with the Derricks? Let's see... Owen is super into dinosaurs these days. He can name (correctly) about 12 different kinds of dinosaurs; he can tell you which ones are the plant-eaters and which ones are the meat-eaters; he can tell you what they're scared of and which ones fought the other dinosaurs. It is pretty hilarious. Baby Shepard started rice cereal!! He is doing well with the spoon. He laughs at Owen a lot, but sometimes he's just had enough of Owen being in his face and he let's him know it! Owen loves Shepard so much. It's sweet.
Cooper has been roaming in the woods when it's warm enough to go outside, and Ben is getting awfully sick of pulling ticks off of him! Cooper gets very nervous when Shepard cries. I don't even turn the baby monitor on when Shepard is napping, because as soon as he wakes up, Cooper is right at my feet to let me know!
So there you have it...
Owen got some silly putty in his stocking and has REALLY enjoyed it! He has found lots of things to stick it to, including his brother...
I let Owen put the cheese on our pizza for supper one night, and he put all of it on HIS piece. :)
